Food Safety Issue 9 was launched on August 1st, 2022. Two core
themes in the latest issue are developing a food safety culture and building
competence. Audits for the new standard will begin on February 1st,
2023.
Key changes in BRCGS Food Safety Issue 9:
1. Incident management procedures (including recalls and withdrawal) must be annually tested
2. Inspection of product labels must be carried out to ensure that they are suitable for the intended use
The BRCGS Global Food Safety Standards help food
manufacturers to focus on areas such as HACCP, food fraud prevention,
management commitment, and food safety culture.
